Rick Brunson .com is proud to announce that it has become the title sponsor for a brand new fundraising event known as "Sit For The Cure." The Rick Brunson .com team hopes to raise over a hundred bucks in order to help research into the crippling condition known as Left Quadriceps Contusion. The "Sit For The Cure" is just the first event in the Rick Brunson .com Purple Ribbon Campaign of Left Quadriceps Contusion awareness.

Not much is known at about Left Quadriceps Contusion or LQC. Very little research has gone into solving this debilitating problem. What is known is that LQC can affect everyone regardless with age, colour, or creed. It strikes with lightning quickness as well. Here is one victim's story:

Toronto Raptor guard Rick Brunson looked fit and healthy during Raptor practice Sunday. He seemed active enough to participate in a full workout and even nailed 8 straight shots. By late afternoon on Monday Brunson was so handicapped by LQC that the Raptors were forced to place him on injured reserve. It is not known how long Brunson will be out of action or if indeed there is even a cure for his condition. Rick Brunson .com hopes this physical setback doesn't end his once promising career.

If you want to help fight LQC please participate in "Sit For The Cure." No specific day has been set aside for the event. You can do it anywhere. Find yourself a nice comfortable spot (preferably a bench) and sit. Sit as long as you like. Get your friends to sponsor you per hour of sitting. You will be inspired by the courage of LQC victims.
